Believe it or not both photos were taken around the same time.

I experimented with the digital settings to see the difference in the outcome. The first photo was taken with a setting designed for under water photography. I must say that the effect is stunning as it highlighted the orange glow of the setting sun.

For the second photo the camera was set to manual mode with the coloring control set to ‘vivid’. The vivid feature accentuated each color realm of the setting sun making for a beautiful picture. Ofcourse the two photos would have looked a lot better without the annoying appearance of the utility pole and wires in the foreground.

Now the question remains, which photo was taken first? Have a look.

This is a photo of a replica of the Statue of Liberty. This picture, also one of my favorites, was taken in Las Vegas in 2005. As far as I could remember I think the camera was set on automatic mode. I personally think that the lighting and blue sky background is perfect but since I am an amateur I could be wrong.

These are exceptionally beautiful flowers. They bloom in early summer and can last well to the end of the Fall even in the Northern States. This picture was actually my first really good macro shot of the flower.

This macro shot produced just the right amount of photo clarity in the foreground and blur in the background resulting in an almost perfect picture.

This photo was taken at Marineland in Ontario. He came up and smiled just for the photo op. I always thought Beluga whales were so much larger.
