This is a night shot of a replica of the orginal Arch of Triumph of Paris (known in French as Arc de Triomphe) taken in Las Vegas in January 2005.  Picture was taken in manual mode and a tripod was used.

My first successful attempt in capturing independence day fireworks and with the moon in the background. This is one of the benefits of using a digital camera. For this photo, I had to set up a makeshift tripod using a plastic cassette case because I left my real tripod at home.
